What is Urban Fashion Culturally In Modern Society?

Urban Fashion Message Changed Through The Decades

TLC 90s Urban FashionWe all know that urban fashion is ever changing as time flies by and what’s seen as urban culture evolves. Over the decades we’ve seen the styles change from the comfortable loose, funky garments of the 80s and 90s, to the tight, fitted, provocative clothing of today.

Not only has the culture and definition of Urban Fashion changed in modern society, the message has also gone through a transformation. The message was conscious, the message was love yourself, the message was respect yourself, the message was conscious, bold and revolutionary. It was for the people whereas now it has completely changed to against the people, just Obey, be a slave to the system.

The mentality of music genres such as Hip Hop and RnB has always been big part and influence of the styles of urban fashion. As we look back on the past few decades we see these genres lyrics, imagery and messages fall from constructive to obstructive and destructive. We see more negative visuals in music videos, TV shows and the newspaper. We especially see the females wearing less and less clothes.

Modern Fashion

The Urban world has been subconsciously programmed over decades via mass media to accept a zombie, sheep mentality as Urban Culture and also to accept negative as positive. For example we listen to Rick Ross talk about getting rich off selling cocaine and see it as cool, we watch Rihanna Twerking in leggings and a bra and see it as normal fashion and behaviour.

Illuminati and Masonic symbolism seems to be what’s popular in this current day and age. Don’t think, just live for tonight, You only live once (Y.O.L.O) is the message that’s being spread via popular clothing brands such as “Obey Clothing” , Rocawear & UNIF, especially among teenagers who blindly follow this “cool” fashion trend. These brands push those symbols and messages in a massive and obvious way but also subconsciously.

Obey clothing is about obeying the system, UNIF is satanic and is about devil worshipping with such collections as “hell is so hot right now”. Many Celebrity Urban Music Artists have been seen wearing UNIF clothing such as Lil Wayne & Justin Beiber. Rocawear is owned by Hip Hop Veteran Jay-Z, the brand promotes the One World Government, One Religion and One Currency ideal.

Jay-Z puts up triangle hand sands, referencing the Illuminati and millions of people copy him without questioning or knowing what it means. Kanye West wears a skirt and says “I sold my soul to the devil” and millions of people copy his style and take his words as positive, cheering.

So in short Urban Fashion now in Modern Society is a culture of, non thinking, non questioning, Obeyer’s.
